Jim Lui is originally come from Hong Kong. He followed his family to immigrate to the United States when he was eighteen. He was fascinated by Japanese and American animation and comics at the time, so he has a dream of working as an artist for animation when he was a child. He is interested into many different kinds of arts like drawing, painting, and modeling kits, etc.
He realized his goal to attend the Academy of Art University in 2007 and he became a student of Majoring in 3d Modeling in Academy of Art University. He graduated in Fall 2011 and he wants to work as a 3d artist in the film industry. Also, he is interested of working in the game industry if he has the opportunity. In 2009, he had a chance to design a logo for a Japanese restaurant, Tsukiji, which is located in Mill Valley.
